This music is contemporary classical music.
Among composers whom I consider significant influences on my music are the American composers Charles Ives and Elliott Carter, the Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu, and the Europeans Gyorgy Ligeti, Witold Lutoslawski, Roberto Gerhard, and Pierre Boulez.
Most of my work is chamber music and music for solo piano. Additionally, May 2010 saw the premiere of an orchestral work, The World of Dew for chamber orchestra. While the music is sometimes challenging, I do think it rewards the listener who approaches it with an open mind and ear, and it has found acceptance both among professional musicians and novice music-lovers.
